Web Tools:

The web tool I chose is:

www.trello.com

Trello is a very good tool to create an interactive site for teachers and students to improve their language, complete tasks, and get more acquainted with technology and webtools for educational purposes. It is also very useful to introduce students to project management in project-based learning activities. It can assist teachers to manage projects. Trello also allows teachers to see at a glance how the project is coming together. It allows you to attach photos, files, and any document. Teacher can write a description of the task, add a checklist, and set a date for the task to be completed.

For my Classroom:

After making sure that all my students joined Trello, I can start uploading activities. The tool works for young as well as adult learners.

Example Activity:

Card Description:

One of the simplest activities I thought of is to use cards.

Teacher can upload a card and write a description for the activity. For example:

  • Use at least ten adjectives and ten verbs to describe this photo.

The teacher can choose a checklist.

Set a date for the task to be completed.
Students can also check one another's posts and react to them.

P.S. I believe there is still to discover in Trello as we proceed with it.

This is our video. We thought of making it a snapshot of our experience at The College of Saint Rose, Albany, New York...
